What is AIESEC?
AIESEC is the world's largest student run non-governmental organisation of 30,000 members across 84 countries and 800 universities for more than 50 years. We are entirely student-managed and our membership is drawn from every race, colour, sex, creed, religion, national and ethnic origin.
Each year since 1948, we have worked to fulfill our mission of developing young people to be individuals, capable of meeting the challenges of our world. We empower our members with the necessary skills and understanding of the forces shaping the world around them, creating a powerful group of future leaders with a strong sense of social responsibility and a desire to make a differece. We develop young people by providing a series of learning experiences linked to activities in fields such as sustainable development, education, enterprise and social responsibility through our international internship exchange program. This program provides individuals with and intensive intercultural and practical working experience in another society, which exposes them and those they interact with to an entirely different culture, community and its environment.
